Baize Prepares for Sophomore Season of Competition and Season Opener

Abingdon, VA February 15, 2017 - With the start of the NASCAR race season approaching for its multiple series, drivers in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East prepare for the Jet Tools 150 taking place at New Smyrna Speedway. Driver Hunter Baize is no exception as he readies to make his return to the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East. Baize will pilot the No. 13 EcoWaters Systems of Naples, FL, K&T Sports Cards and Memorabilia entry for Martin-McClure Racing. This will be Baize's first race with the organization as he begins his sophomore season in the series. During his first season of competition, Baize secured ten top-ten finishes, one top-five finish, and finished the season 4th place in driver's points.

Crew Chief Teddy Brown will oversee the efforts of the team. Brown comes with more than 15 years of experience across NASCAR's national series, and recently served as interim crew chief for MMR at the New Jersey Motorsports Park event in 2016.

This will be Baize's second start at New Smyrna Speedway. The track boasts a half mile, banked, asphalt race surface ideal for close quarters racing on its two grooved surface.

Eric McClure: "We are excited to have Hunter Baize and are looking forward to a full-season campaign and a run at the championship. We have had such growth in such a short amount of time. However, we got work to do and we have our eyes on the championship. I truly believe the best is yet to come."

Hal Martin: "I feel honored that a driver of Hunter's caliber has entrusted us with his run at the championship. Our organization has always had high standards. We set the bar high for ourselves last season when we achieved our three wins. We are ready to see what this season has in store for us as a team and for Hunter as a driver. We are ready to support him and look forward to celebrating with him in victory lane soon."

Hunter Baize: " I feel very confident going into the season opener at Smyrna. I know all the guys at MMR have prepared a fast car, and I believe we will be in contention to win the Jet Tools 150."
